Today was my 19 week ultrasound appointment. The ultrasound tech was very sure our baby is a boy! Boy, that protuberance seemed so huge! I guess he will grow into it. Cooper is very excited that he will have a brother to teach how to play baseball! He went on and on about all the different things he will teach the baby. He even wants to be the one to decorate the baby's room: either bulldozers, trains, or Spiderman. Shelby, on the other hand, was very quiet and made a pitiful face at first. Then she decided to just act like it was going to be a girl. She was driving Cooper crazy on the car ride home, because she kept saying it was still going to be a girl. She is genuinely disappointed. She told me tonight that she wanted to dress up the baby really cute and have her sleep in her bunk bed. We have been emphasising how special it will be to be Mommy and Daddy's only princess girl. That doesn't appeal to her at all. When I was tucking her in to bed tonight, she sweetly said, with hopeful eyes, "Mommy, we could still have a girl!"
