Shelby and her friend, Lily.Shelby had her first ballet recital last night! She had so much fun putting on her (favorite color!) pink ballet leotard and tutu. I let her pick out a ribbon for her hair. She said the one she picked out was 'the most balletish'. She was beaming the whole time I did her hair, and she was very happy with how it looked. I even put a little real blush and lipstick on her for the first time. She acted as if she was in heaven, getting to go up on 'stage' at Nana and Gramp's beautiful church to dance. However, when she was performing her dance she was all business and never cracked a smile. She was concentrating so hard on doing the dance right. It was so funny! To top off her magical night, she got her first bouquets of flowers from her Daddy and Nana and Gramps. She was so excited about all the pink flowers! It touched my heart when she wanted to share some of her flowers with Karissa, who didn't have any. Shelby asked me today when she gets to have another ballet recital. She can't wait to do it again!
